WANGANUI CONCLUDES TO-DAY Excellent Acceptances Promise Interesting Contests (By “ KESTREL. 11 ) The Wanganui Jockey Club has been favoured with exceptionally good acceptances for the concluding day of the winter meeting and it may be safely concluded that the contests staged will be as interesting as were those on Thursday. That no less than eighty-eight acceptors figure on the card is a cause for much congratulation and the race for the Grandstand Steeplechase, the big cross-country event to-day. should be productive of a spectacular display of fencing. The principal events on the flat have drawn good fields and promise to be well contested, while the two races over hurdles should provide excellent exhibitions of jumping.
