THE BOILER BURNER
During the last few months many people must have wished that there was some method of heating the kitchen boiler without drawing upon their precious supply of coal. For once, in a way the wish comes true, for there ;s now a gas burner specially made to fit into the opening under the boiler in the kitchen fireplace. This burner is connected by a flexible tube to a gas tap placed at the side of the fireplace, so that the only expense of fitting is the cost of bringing the gas pipe across the kitchen. Sufficient hot water to supply the house can be obtained in about two and a half hours, after which the gas may be turned off until again required. The burner is economical in use and is quite safe. It costs some 155.. and appears to solve a little domestic problem which has already caused a great' deal of inconvenience. After the coal dispute has been settled and supplies of fuel are normal once more, the boiler burner will still be a boon in the summer time, w’hen the only reason to light the kitchen fire has been to heat the water.
