The ex-German four-masted barque Herzogin Cecile, which left Port Lincoln, South Australia, on February 3, wheat-laden tor the ■ Channel, arrived at Queenstown, Ireland, on ! May 2, after a splendid passage of 88 days. A cable from Bremen states that the Orient Line steamer Ormuz, formerly the Germanowned liner Zeppelin, has been sold to the North German Lloyd. The vessel which was recently withdrawn from the Australian service, will be renamed Dresden. Specially designed for the Australian trade, the Port Huon, the second of the three motor vessels which are being built to the order of the Commonwealth and Dominion Line, was launched on March 4 from the yards of Messrs Swan Hunter, and Wigham Richardson, Walls* end. ~ The New Zealand Shipping Company have been advised that the Ikala arrived at Montreal on May 12 to load for New Zealand and Australia. The vessel is to sail from Montreal at the beginning of June for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne, and SydRunning under the auspices of the A. and A. Line, 'the chartered steamer Wirral left New York on Sunday for Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Wanganui. She is due at Auckland about June 20. It is announced that the motor-ship Yomah, which visited Auckland in January last, has been purchased by the Australind Steamship Co., Ltd.
