“GET IN BEFORE THE -RUSH” INGENUOUS DEBTORS A Wanganui trade assignee recently had occasion to approach a man with a view to collecting an outstanding debt. The reply consisted of a lengthy catalogue of the debts owed by the man, and concluded with the advice “Now get in before the rush.’’ A Maori woman who was written to by the same firm, replied: “Loving Sir, —I very sorry I can’t pay. My husband he have the picanin. I pay you when 1 am better.”
