AN UNOFFICIAL VISIT
THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL at BRIEF STAY IN WANGANUI Continuing his tour from Taihape where he unveiled a war memorial on Tuesday, his Excellency the GovernorGeneral (Sir Charles Fergusson) arrived in Wanagnui from Feilding yesterday morning on an unofficial visit. Yesterday afternoon his Excellency and suite attended the races, and last evening the Governor-General was present at an important gathering of the local Masonic fraternity. Sir Charles will return to Wellington to-day. The Imperial Hotel was his headquarters while in Wanganui.
