A MOTOR ACCIDENT
CLAIM AGAINST COUNCIL , WIDOW AWARDED DAMAGES [Per Press Association.] INVERCARGILL, May .18. At the Supreme Court, Lucy Charlotte Witty, claimed from the Southland County Council £l5OO damages for the death of her husband, who was struck by a motor car driven by a servant of the corporation, John Guy Dennison, who hari.' since left tho Dominion. Witty was cycling at night on the right side of the road when ho was run down, and plaintiff contended that the damage to Dennison’s car corresponded with what wx>uld be expected from such a collision. The jury awarded: £BO7, with costs.
