ROUND MEETING TABLE WELCOME TO HOSPITAL BOARD MEMBERS. A welcome to new members of the Wanganui Hospital Board was extended yesterday by the chairman, Dr. Skcrman, at the first meeting of the newly-elected Board. Dr. Skerman said he was pleased to see Mr R. A. Davies, of Taihape, and it also gave him pleasure to note that the Board had been honoured by the eelction to its personnel of the Afayor of Wanganui. If was some considerable time since a Mayor of Wanganui sat on the Board. No doubt Afr Rogers would be of great assistance, especially in connection with charitable aid cases. Miss Newcombe, who had been secretary of the Nursing League, would also be of great assistance in charitable aid work. “We miss the faces of the old members of the Board,” said the chairman, proceeding. “Especially Afessrs J. P. Aldridge, G. Spriggens and C. H. Burnett.’ A motion placing on record the Board’s appreciation of the work of members not continuing in office this year was pased, and new members suitably returned thanks for the welcome extended.
