OPEN-AIR SCHOOLS
PROGRESS IN NEW ZEALAND SUPPORT FROM MINISTER. [Per Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Alay 18. Warm approval of the activities of the Open Air Schools League was expressed by the Alinister of Education, the Hon. R. A. Wright, in replying to a deputation from the League, which waited on him this morning. The Minister assured the deputation that the opinion in favour of the openair type of school was steadily growing, and said that he desired to help the League in every way possible. He quite agreed with the deputation that the health of the children must come first, and that it should be their primary consideration.
Professor Shelley conveyed the thanks of the League to the Alinister for the support he had given to the movement.
