REPORT ON LONDON MARKETS. (Special to “Chronicle.”) WELLINGTON, May 17. The Dairy Produce oßard has received the following market report from the London Agency, dated May 13, quotations for the previous week being given in parentheses:— Butter.—New Zealand salted, 158 s to 160 s (152 s to 154); unsalted, 164 s to 168 s (164 s to t 166); market closing slower but firm. Australian finest salted, 156 s to 158 s (150 s to 1525); unsaltcd, 160 s to 164 s (158 s to 1625); market steady. Argentine finest unsalted, 153 s to 156 s (150 s to 1545). Esthonian, 152 s to 1545. Lithuainan, 150 s (148 s Siberian, 150 s to 152 s (148 s Danish, 160 s to 164 s (160 to 1625). Retail prices are unchanged, and the weather here is very dry, affecting the sentiment of th markt. Continntal markets have further declined, and colonial is now too high to interest.
Cheese. —Now Zealand white and coloured, 82s to 83s (82s to 83s); market closing quiet but firm. Canadian finest white, 92s to 96s (92s to 945), coloured, 94s to 96s (92s to 945). Australian finest white, 79s to 81s (78s), coloured, 80s to 81s (775). Retail prices are unchanged.
