AUSTRALIAN MONEY
LOAN FOR POWER BOARD LONDON OFFER REFUSED. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, May 16. The Auckland Electric Power Board has arranged for a loan in Australia of £156,000, being the balance of the loan of £650,000 for the extension of its reticulation. The loan, which is on the most satisfactory terms, is for 21 years at 5 per cent., and the price will be £94 net in Auckland bringing interest up to 5$ per cent. The best London offer received was £5 12s 6d per cent.
