SOME GOOD, SOME BAD
PEOPLE WHO DRIVE CARS DIFFERENTIAL PREMIUMS TO BE MADE. (A. & N.Z.) LONDON, May 15. The Daily Express states that motor car insurance offices have agreed that premiums must be raised. Not desiring good drivers to pay for the bad by a flat rate, the officers are considering a scheme of charging extra premiums on classes of cars which accidents statistics show are the worst risks. The worst drivers are Air Force officers. They seem to lack discretion and sense of speed values, but they are closely followed by all actors, actresses and bookmakers. Good risks include doctors, naval officers, journalists, and shopkeepers. Accident figures show that women drivers are 12 per cent, worse risks than men. Large cars are always more carefully driven than small cars.
