PRICES FOR BUTTER
CAUTION ADVOCATED IN SALES [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, May 14. Mr T. C. Brash, secretary of the Dairy Board, advises that a number of dairy companies are considering the question of selling their May and June outputs of butter at prices varying from 1/3 upwards. He is of opinion that the final average price realised in the pool which represents butter graded from May 1 to October 13, will return a net average price considerably above this figure and that dairy companies would be well advised to act cautiously s in making sales. It has to be borne in mind that in accondance with the Board’s policy there will be no stocks of stored stale butter to go on the market in the early spring, hence the market should be fairly sound for produce arriving then.-
