The death of Mr William Arthur W. Grenfell, secretary of the Wellington Employers Association, occurred on Saturday.

The death occurred at Auckland on Saturday of Mr Joseph Harrison Russell, a son of the late Mr and Mrs J. Russell, of Wanganui. Formerly an enthusiastic member of the Wanganui Garrison Band, with whom he attended the Wellington Exhibition Contest, Mr Russell, who had been employed at the East Town Workshops for some twenty years, was transferred to Newmarket last November. About three weeks ago he fell ill with influenza and passed away on Saturday. Interment will take place at Wanganui upon the arrival of the body from the northern city.
