VISIT TO NEW SOUTH WALES KIRK-WINDEYER CUP CONTESTANTS (Special to 4 4 Chronicle. ”) WELLINGTON, May 14* Mr G. O. Sutton, secretary to the New Zealand Golf Association, yesterday received the following cablegram from Mr W. A. Windeyer, a member of the New South Males Golf Council. “Splendid, meeting, all clubs being represented, held at Hotel Australia, Sir John Vicars presiding, elected committee to arrange entertainment of your players. Itoyal Sydney Golf Club can accommodate six.” The following seven New Zealand competitors have entered for the New South Wales Championship Foursome (June 4) the Boyai Sydney Cup (June >) and the New South Wales’ Amateur Championship for which the qualifying rounds will be played on Saturday, June 11 ,and match played the following week:— A- D # 8. Dunean. Dr. Kenneth Boss. Ewan Maefarlane. T. H. Horton. Leo. Quin. J. S. Harrison. O. Gardner. In addition to the above-mentioned competitors in the Championship, there will be a party of at toast twelve going ever. 6 ® 1 rona the first five mentioned in the above list a team of four will be selectee. after a few days’ practice »• Sydney, to represent New Zealand in'the competition for the Kirk-Windeyer Cuu against whichever Australian Stale has in. the meantime earned the right to ptay for it, as between the Australia.! Slates the right to play will be decided by eliminating matches. The KirkWindeyer Cup will be played for en Wednesday and Thursday, June S and J, four-ball matches and singles. Golf Club successfully defended the Wilson Cup against Wairarapa Club on Saturday, winning five matches and halving the sixth. T. H. Horton, who is included in the New Zealand .team to visit Australia, played brilliantly to defeat J. C. Bidwill six up and five to play, doing the round in one under fours. A challenge has been received fro# the Napier Club.
