BATCH BEFORE COURT PENALTIES HANDED OUT Drivers of motor vehicles figured in tho Wanganui Magistrate’s Court again yesterday. Alfred Johnston and A. W. Gray, who were aboard a motor cycle on a recent afternoon and failed to satisfy the demands of the by-law in regard to pulling up while tram cars set down and. took up passengers were each fined 10s. Johnston had control of the machine and Gray was on the pillion scat behind. Walter W. Swanger, a motor-cyclist who indulged in a little speeding on a recent evening, and who could not produce his driver’s license when stopped, was fined 5s and 3s court costs and* had his license suspended for three months. Norman Ash, who had also ridden his motor cycle without a license, was fined 5s and 10s court costs. For leaving a car unattended in Maria Place for more than J 5 minutes Robert Linssen was fined 12s *6d and 10s court costs. No list of motor offences is complete without the “noisy cyclist” and for a breach of this nature Roy Russ was required to contribute £2.
