C. 1 Williamson Ltd. management, by ar--1 rangement with Sir Benjamin and Mr. ' John Fuller, with an opportunity of en--7 joying the musical comedy triumph, ' “No, No, Nanette” by tho New Lon-,’ 5 don Musical Comedy Company, said td be the strongest organisation of its kind c that has toured New Zealand. Tho melodies and musical gems, including ' “Tea for Two,” “I Want to be ’' Happy ’ ’ and ‘ ‘ Take a Little One Step, ’ ’ ‘ the frocks, the humorous comedy, the ’ original and clever dances, the brilliant ensembles, eccentric poses, snappy dialogue and catchy numbers, crystallised 1 into a radiant entertainment make “No, ’ No, Nanette,” a show of unforgettable ' charm. Miss Elsie Prince is certain to /receive a warm welcome when she ap- . 1 pears in the name part, as she comes ’ ' with a great reputation. Mr. Jimmy iGodden, the principal comedian, is said Ito be very humorous in the role of Jimmy Smith, the millionaire sellers of Bibles, and phimsical philanderer. Mr. Godden is the possessor of a good singing voice which is heard to advantage , in the number “I Want to be Happy,” which he renders together with Miss Prince. There is also great deal of fun provided by Mr. Charlton Morton in the' role of Billy Early, a lying lawyer, and | Mr. Charlton is also a brilliant dancer. | Miss Elsie Parkes, as Jimmy Smith’s | wife, has a most congenial role and so has Miss Nellie Dean in the character of Lucille Early. Miss Gladys Hermes is amusing as Pauline, and Mr. Claud Holland sings and dances gracefully as Tom Trainor. Others are Miss Olive Grant, from the Adelphi Theatre, Lonjdon. Miss Phyllis Du Barry, and Miss I Marjorie L’Strange. An outstanding ’feature is the dancing of Miss Alma j Mackie. Other solo dancers are Mr. ' (Royston McDonell, Miss Gladys DeverI eaux and the Misses Allison and ' J Kathleen Fallow. A full operatic : i orchestra and chorus are under the direction of Mr. Harry Jacobs. The box plans for the two evening performances and for the special matinee representation, to be staged to-morrow afternoon, are at H. I. Jones and Son’s. Ltd.
