NEW BASIC WAGE
OPERATIVE IN JUNE FAMILY ENDOWMENT TOO (A and NJZ.) SYDNEY, April 28. Mr Lang announced that the Government has decided that the new basic wage for the State shall operate early in June. The family endowment of 10s weekly for each child of a wage earner will be paid concurrently with the declaration of the new wage.
