NEW ZEALAND’S MILLION INCREASED SHARE OF NAVAL DEFENCE. (A. and N.Z.) LONDON, April 27. Mr Stanley Baldwin has cabled Mr Coates stating that the proposal to give £1,000,000 towards the cost of the Singapore Base has deeply interested Cabinet, who are glad that the Imperial Conference discussions have been so speedily followed up. He and his colleagues warmly appreciate the proposed increase in New Zealand’s share in naval defence.
