Beautiful ana interesting as th whole river is, the part from the Houli boat down to Pipiriki is the best ol all. The great walls close in, rising sheer from the water’s edge. Surmounting them are stately hills, whose tree-crowned crests rise to kiss tho heavens, and over all is spread a glorious mantle of vegetation. Such wealth of foliage, such harmonious blending of colours, such magnificence is •Unplayed, the picture is a perfect s6Uuo masterpiece.
