FASCINATION OF THE HORSES LICENSING COMMITTEE FAILS TO MEET. [ Per Preß» Association. ] AUCKLAND, March 7. When the time arrived to commence the quarterly meeting of tho Manakau Licensing Bench at Onehunga this morning it was found that only the chairman, Mr J. AV. Poynton, was in attendance. A solicitor remarked that one member was acting as judge at a race meeting, and he was of opinion that some others were not far away from the same place. Mr W. R. Mackenzie was reported to be travelling in North Auckland when he was informed by the sergeant. None of the others had turned up, though they had all been notified. Mr Poynton remarked on their remissness and adjourned the meeting until March 21.
