LEADER DEPOSED
AUSTRALIAN LABOUR PARTY EXECUTIVE DEFIED. SYDNEY, March 17. At a special meeting of the Australian Labour Party Executive, the president, Mr W. H. Seale, was suspended from offite on a charge of having defied the executive decisions with regard to convening the annual conference and altering the basis of the League representation at conferences. Mr Conroy was elected president in succession to Mr Seale.

The action of the Australian Labour Party in suspending Mr Seale has caused a sensation among members of the Parliamentary Labour Party, who admit that they cannot foresee the result of the mot?, of which the chief feature is the assumption of control of the Labour Party’s machinery by the faction which supported Mr Loughlin against Mr Lang in the recept crisis for the party leadership.
