THAT LEAGUE TOUR CONFIDENTIAL REPORT. [ Per Press Association. 1 AUCKLAND. March 4. The report of one of the managers of the New Zealand League football team, Mr C. H. Ponder, was presented at a meeting of tho New Zealand League Football Council last evening. After some discussion it was decided to take the report in committece. Some opposition was shown to the proposal, and a motion was moved by Messrs E. Stallworthy (Auckland) and T. Tuohey (Wellington) that the report be. taken in open meeting. Mr Ponder at once made an emphatic objection. Ho refused to real the report in open meeting, and threatened to *ear it up unless it was taken in committee. An amendment was then moved by Mr R. Pollock (Timaru) and Mr C. A. Snedden (Auckland) that the report be taken in committee. Mr Tuohey intimated that if th© amendment were, carried he would leave thc meeting, because ho felt that they owed a duty to tho public. They kept thc game going and should be acquainted with all the facts. Tho amendment was put and carried, and Mr Tuohey thereupon withdrew from the. meeting. Mr Ponder’s report is a voluminous document, and its perusal was not completed until 1Q.30 p.m. It was then decided to defer discussion until Tuesday evening. There are many controversial points to be dealt with, ami it is possible that the second meeting may not produce finality.
