TERRACE END AGAIN MISHAP TO GOODS-TRAIN (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Feb. 21. After ten months of freedom from interference the railway line at Terrace End was again made the subject of some despicable work on Saturday night, when a wooden sleeper was placed across the Wanganui line at the Fitzroy Street crossing. Tho train that ran into the obstruction was a goods from Marton, due at Palmerston North at 10.45 o’clock, but was running slightly late. On feeling the bump the engine-driver at once applied the brakes. An examination showed that the cowcatcher of the engine was extensively buckled and a portion was stove in. After a delay of about 30 minutes the train came to town slowly, reaching Palmerston at 11.45 o’clock.
