RELAYING OF FOOTPATHS
Sir,—I notice some of our footpaths are being re-laid in bitumen. It is a great improvement which is long overdue all about the city. One thing puzzles me, sir, why each footpath is not finished off with a smooth coat of bitumen while tho workmen are on tho job. It gives a very inoeh more finished appearance to the work. I notice that in a few streets this has been done. I trust to see all footpaths treated in the same way, and not left in the rough state. RATEPAYER. February 21, 1927.
