A NEW OFFICE
UNIVERSITY PRINCIPAL DISCUSSION BY COUNCIL (Per Press AMOciatian.) AUCKLAND, Feb. 19. The New Zealand University Council discussing the matter in connection with the new office to be filled by a principal.. Mr H. D. Ad and moved that no reference be made to the amount of salary. This was lost, and it was resolved that the salary be not less than 1500, and that the Minister of Education be asked to secure an amendment of the Act to enable the Council to pay not less than £l5OO. It was decided that the position be offered for five years.
