The Wanganui and Rangitikei districts present scenes of rural contentment at the present time, and, despite the prolonged dry spell that has been experienced, crops and stock generally are in good condition. While harvesting operations are in full swing it is probable that they will have to be continued until late autumn in view of the unusual number of late crops that will require attention.
