GRIME’S GREAT FIGHT HALL KNOCKED IN EIGHT— A WIRELESS DESCRIPTION. W. (Billy) Grime knocked out th* negro Joe Hall in the eighth of a fifteen round light at the Sydney Sthdiuir on Saturday night. He cleverly evnded Hall’s wild swings but in a torrid exchange in mid-ring the negro connected with a great left, to the chin. The round ended with Hall on the ropes and Grime pummelling his body. Hall had failed in his supreme attempt to K.O. Grime. Hall Attempts Knock-Out. The sixth opened with sparring in the centre of the ring. Hull lashed out with a wild hit Und ran on to a straight left which pushed his jaw back with a jolt. The nigger landed on the ropes where Grime Jeft<hook*d him and scored with terrific heart punches. Hall changed his style, but he was faring worse than previously. A claim for a foul met with no response and Grime again connected with a succession of lefts which he followed up with two. left uppercuts and a straight right, all of which shook the negro badly. Sensational Last Round. The sixth w r as full of sensations Grime opened with a right to the plexus and Hull countered with two hea' \* punches to the head. Grime sailed in’c Hall and left and right-hooked to the jaw. Again the negro claimed a foul when Grime sunk a right into Ha'l’s plexus. Grime got in close with a ter-, rific left hooK to the point land knocked Hall clean out. The demonstration drowned the announcer altcgether. Roar after roit followed like incoming breakers and loud whistling could be heard. When the din subsided the announcer stu*ed that Grime had Hall on the ropes. He shot his right into the plexus and the negro got cut into the centre of ring. Gr mo turned an<t unloose*! his terrific loft book which ended the fight. Billy Grime sails for New Ze -Han I this week on his way to America, he hopes to be matched for the world's feather and light-weight crowns.
