OTAHUHU MEETING SEA PEARL’S CUP. I Per Press Association. } AUCKLAND, Feb. 18. The Otahuhu Trotting Club’s summer meeting opened to-day in fine weather, with a large attendance. The totalisator handled £46,151, compared with £50,764 on the corresponding day last year. A. Caddy, owner of Some Jazz in the. Mount Albert Handicap, was suspended for three months for careless driving. There was also an inquiry into the alleged crossing of Cardinal Logan by Loeanda Mac in the Otahuhu Cup. Second dividend was paid on Loeanda Mac, but the question of the responsibility of his driver, M. Holmes, was adjourned until Wednesday. Results: —

Trial Handicap—2 Sean Trubhais (Woods) 1, 1 Petroleuso 2, 3 Tui Bells 3. Neck; four lengths. Gold Star was fourth. Time: 3.42 3-5. Tamaki Handicap—2 Taipare (WdIntts) 1, 5 Manna 2, 17 Bed Star 3. Nancy Bell was bracketed with Manna and Horizon was bracketed with the winner. Four lengths; two lengths. Gold Dial was fourth. Time: 2.55 2-o. Mt. Albert Handicap—s Tony Victor (F. Jones) 1, 3 Sister Beatrice 2, 9 Roi Alto 3. Long neck; head. Amberite was fourth. Time: 4.52 2-5. Otahuhu Cup. —3 Sea Pearl (Berry) 1 4 Loeanda Mac 2, 1 Cardinal Logan 3. Also: 11 Billy Sea, 5 Auto Machine, 7 Stanmoor, 2 Coneliff, 10 Talent, 8 Acron, 6 Kohara, 9 Logan Chief. A fine finish. Locand Mae led into the straight, Sea Pearl then coming with a magnificent run.
