WOMAN SUFFOCATED
CAR’S PLUNGE INTO CREEK [ Per Press Asaomtion. ] GISBORNE, Feb. 17. A motor fatality occurred near Turehsu, on the East Coast road, late this afternoon. Charles Hansen, with h’s wife and daughter, was r cLurning from tie TcJagt Bay races, and in turning a sharp corner on to a bridge over a stream, the car struck the approach post on the right, skidded, swerved and smashed through the bridge rails, falling upside down into the creek ten feit below. Mrs Hansen was pinned under the Car and was suffocated. The *ivsband ind daughter were throwa clear aue escaped with bruises.
