A KNOCK FOR AUSTRALIAN. LONDON, Feb. 14. The market is surprised at the sud den reduction of Argentine canned beef, first grade, to 37s 7d, seconds to 32s 6d a case. Mr. A. R. Hassan, London representative of the Australian Meat Council, says the reduction is not explained and is not justified by market conditions. The objective, apparently, is to secure business hitherto held by the smaller South American packing firms but the result will be'incrcascd difficulty in marketing Ar**tralian beef.
