TASMANIA'S TURN
BUSH FIRES RAGING TREMENDOUS DAMAGE REPORTED Received Feb. 15, 5.5 p.m. HOBABT, Feb. 15. Raging bush fires swept across many miles of the southern portion of Bruni Island. Fortunately no lives were lost, but tremendous damage was done to crops and stock. Several timber mills and the Anglican church at Adventure Bay, as well as many settlers’ homes, were destroyed.
