PLUNGE INTO CREEK
CAR GOES OVER BRIDGE ONE PASSENGER KILLED (Per Press Association.) GISBORNE, Feb. 13. Shortly before 11 o’clock last night a taxi driven by A. Litter went over a bridge between Kaiteratahi and TeKaraka, and capsized into the bed of the creek, Bft. below. One passenger, Robert Scott, 38 year 6f age, who had no relatives in the Dominion, and was employed as a bush worker at Te Rata Station, WhatatuTu, was killed. Another passenger, Mrs Denton, a Afaori woman, is now in hospital with injuries to her body which, so far as is known at present, are not serious. Two other men passengers and the driver escaped with bruises.
