MOTOR PLUNGES INTO A CREEK / ONE MAN KILLED [ Per Press Association. ] GISBORNE, Feb. 13. Shortly before 11 o’clock last sight, a taxi, driven by A. Littler, went over a bridge between Kaiteratahi and Tekaraka, and capsized into the bed of a creek eight feet below. One passenger, Robert Scott, aged 38, with no relatives in the Dominion, employed as a bush worker at To Rata station, Whatatutu, was killed. Another passenger, Airs Denton, a Maori woman, is now in hospital with body injuries, which so far as is known at present are not serious. Two other men passengers and the driver escaped with bruises.
