IN DAIRY BOARD AFFAIRS ATTTITUDE OF LONDON AGENT OPPOSITION TO CONTROL POLICY [Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Jhn. 21. According to a report in the “Dairy Produce Exporter’’ of a meeting of the Dairy Board on Wednesday, Mr W. Grounds said that Mr S. Paterson, Government nominee on the agency in London had declared himself as definitely opposed to the Board’s policy. He wUs satisfied that no one directly interested in merchandising dairy produce should have a scat on that agency. On the conclusion of Mr Grounds’ report, which was averse to Mr Paterson and complimentary to Mr Wright, a resolution was unanimously carried, “That the Acting Prime Minister be written to pointing out that Mr Paterson is not suppoiting rne policy of the Board, and is making the position in London very difficult, and the Board considers that Mr Paterson should be .retired from the (agency.’’

Mr Goodfellow said that the worst feature was that Mr Paterson drew a salary of £lOOO a year from the producers. He was entitled to his own views, but while drawing that Salary should either obey the Board’s policy as laid down or retire.

Mr Corrigan considered that Mr Coates had a definite grievance against Mr Paterson from whom, tis Government representative, he had a right to expect full, accurate and unbiassed information. Apparently this had not been given, and the Primo Minister had been misled.
