As a fun-loving, musical and popular town for cabarets and balls Taihape is agog with excitement at the forthcoming ball that will take place to-morrow (Friday). All arrangements to ensure the very best of music and comfort have been made, and a programme so planned to appeal to dancers and nondancers alike has been prepared. It is intended that everyone—old and young —shall remember New Year’s Eve in Taihape this year as a memorable one. Amid all the gaiety preceding 12 o’clock, it is intended that all shall hear the old year out and the New Year in in the true old spirit, and then will follow a particular dance that should thrill all music and dance lovers of the Victorian and present days. A picked orchestra has been engaged, and they promise to excel all previous efforts. It is interesting to note that the orchestra engaged was personally complimented by Mr Bert Ralton during his visit to New Zealand.
