TOWN BOARD (From the “Chronicle’s” Special Correspondent). The monthly meeting of the Bulls Town Board was held on Monday evening. Present: Messrs H. J. McManaway (chairman), V. Edhouse, F. A. Holland, E. Robbie, C. Broughton, T. Ellery and J. Walker. Dr. F. J. Watson’s application for a right-of-way to the cemetery was granted in the terms set down by Messrs Christensen, Stanford and Mackay. Mr J. E. Walker applied for subdivision on rate roll of property in High Street, transfer of part already having been approved.—Granted. Messrs Christensen, Stanford and Mackay forwarded a deed of transfer of the seaside property known as Moana-Roa (late Taheke) from Mr H. J. D. McManaway to the Town Clerk acting for the Town Board. The document is to be signed, and the Board’s seal attached. It was decided to hold a “clean-up week” as soon as possible. Credit balances were shown as follows: —District fund £223 19s lOd; cemetery £1 J6s 2d (£2 9s being already paid out); library £27 15s. Receipts for the month were:—District fund £72 14s 4d, library £5 2s. Accounts passed for payment: —District fund £67 7s 9d, cemetery £2 9s, library £2 12s. DOMAIN BOARD The Domain Board met on Monday evening. It was reported that receipts for Ihe month totalled £3 3s and expenditure £4 4s. Mr E. Robbie reported that the Sports Club had forwarded plans of the proposed pavilion to the trustees of the Bruce Estate.

BOXING TOURNAMENT Heavy bookings have been recorded for the Rangitikei Boxing Association’s tournament to be held in the Bulls Town Hall this evening, and the various boxers billed have confirmed their intention to attend. A special ear will leave Wellington to-day conveying McCarthy (professional), Gus Evatt (New Zealand heavy and lightchampion), Erwin, Hurn, Adams,.and probably other well-known cracks. E. Downes, of Palmerston North, has agreed to meet Karten, of Wanganui, and S. Havill is bringing Lund, Potbury. O’Keefe, and others, also from Palmerston North. The Wanganui quota, Karten and the Forward brothers, will be there, as well as Jock Smith (Marton), C. Forbes (Sanson), and the local light-heavy, Bort. Meads. Comfortable seating and moderate charges ensure a big gathering of boxing enthusiasts to wvitnoss what promises to" bo an exceptionally flne evening’s entertainment.
