WILL OF A DUCHESS A wish that her body shiii' be embalmed and placed in a memorial tomb designed by Sir George Frampton i« expressed in the will of the late Duchess of Argyll. Her tomb is in lona Cathedral. A sum of £3OO is bequeathed to Sir George for any trouble ho may have had in th. work. The executor* are instructed to hand over to Glasgow Corporation for the museum and art galleries the portraits of her husband and herself painted by William Wont nor. and also the portraits of her mother ami her brother. She also left £lOOO. the income from which is to laused for the upkeep of the monument I erected at Macharioch in memory of her husband. The Duchess male's pro vision for legacies to servants and then directs that her entir“ means ami estate shall be realised and equally divided between the Argyllshire Nurs ing Association and the trustees of lona Cathedral for heating purposes.
