PORT OF WANGANUI
DAIRY PRODUCE GRADING RETURNS FOR JANUARY The quantities of dairy produce graded at Wanganui during the past month disclose a decrease.-as compared with the figures for the corresponding period of the previous year. The figures are as follows: Butter. January, 1925: 26,720 boxes; January, .1926: 18,554 boxes; Decrease: 8,166 boxes, or 30.9 per cent. Cheese. January, 1925: 4,395 crates; January, 1926: 4,152 crates; Decrease. 243 crates or 5.5 per cent. Butter Fat. Converting the lot to a butter-fat basis the figures are as follows: January, 1925: 1,621,6751b5; January, 1926: 1,197,5801b5; Decrease: 424,095 lbs., a decrease in the butterfat supply of 25.1 per cent.
