THE CHAMPION STAKES SECOND PAYMENT [Per Press Association] CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 1. After second payment the following remain in the Champion Stakes (flying start), for three-year-olds, of 750sovs, one mile and five furlongs, to be decided at the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club’s Easter meeting:—Native Chief, Logan King. Exclusive, Rose Thorne, Avenger, Nantwich, Ayr. William the Great, Bertha Bingen, gelding by Logan Pointer-Croesus marc.
