MUSICIAN RETURNS TO SYDNEY TO FACE ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGE [Per Press Association.! WELLINGTON, Dec. 23. William Henry Curtis, alias George H. Lacey, a musician, aged 43, who was arrested aboard the Makura on December 7, was charged at the Magistrate’s Court to-day with wounding Annie Louisa Timson, at Sydney, on November 30 with intent to murder her. The police stated that when taken to the detective office tho accused produced a blood-stained shirt, which he said he was wearing at the time of the assault, and a blood-stained handkerchief, with which he had wiped his hands. Detective-Sergeant Matthews, of the Sydney police force, applied for extradition. The application was granted, and the accused will return to Sydney with Sergeant Matthews by the Maunganui to-morrow.
