The service was followed by a rendering of choruses and solos from Handel’s immortal “Messiah, ” by the choir of 45 voices. The six soloists, all choir members, were as follows:—Miss A. Springer, 4 ‘How Beautiful’’; Miss King, 4 4 Rejoice Greatly”; Miss V. Smith. “I Know That My Redeemer ’; Mrs Tipper, 4 ‘He Shall Feed His Flock”; Air E. Hambly, 44 For Behold,” and 4 4 The People That Walked in Darkness”; Air 11. Tipper, 4 4 Comfort Ye,” and all sang their solos splendidly with feeling and expression.
