FOOTBALLER'S RETURN
GENEROUS TREATMENT AT WANGANUI The well-known Waikato and Hamilton Rugby representative, A. Buckingham, who has been an inmate of the Wanganui Hospital for the past four months has returned to Hamilton, says the local paper. It will be recalled that Buckingham had his leg broken while playing half-back for the Waikato touring team Ln the game at Wanganui during the late season. The break was a particularly bad one and had to be re-set, but Buckingham is now making excellent progress. He is going about on crutches at present anil while it will be some time yet before he can have the full power of the leg, the popular and prominent local player is otherwise in excellent trim. He speaks in high terms of the many good people of Wanganui, both in the hospital and out of it, who did everything in their power to make his sojourn there as enjoyable as possible under the circumstances. His many sporting associates in his home town and the public in general are pleased to have him back and will be glad to know that he is now well on the road towards complete recovery, although it is very ebubtful if Buckingham xvill ever take an active part in strenuous pastimes again.
