"LIGNOL”

A number of business houses in the city have had their floors treated with the above preparation during the last few days, and expressions of approval have been heard from many business men and visitors to these offices. This wonderful dust preparation, Lignol No. 1, is specially for treating wooden floors only, leaving a permanent brown surface. It prevents dust from arising when sweeping without the aid of water or sawdust, being hygienic and healthy, as it destroys all germs. Lignol is not connected with any other dust-proof preparation on the market, it being entirely a British production; it is not greasy or of a sticky nature.

No. 2 Lignol mixture is specially prepared for treating linos., either cork or inlaid. It prevents dust from arising when sweeping, preserves the linos., and is labour saving, doing away with scrubbing, because it eradicates all dirt. The secret of its success is by mopping, once or twice a week, with a permeated mop only, and drying off immediately; for cork linos., once a fortnight only. The life duration of Lignol on wooden surface floors is nine to ten months without a fresh application. All floors require scrubbing before treatment; but for wooden floors this is optional. Floors must be swept eve y day as they become cleaner each time. The main office of the “Wanganui Chronicle” Co. Ltd. has been treated, and can be inspected by business men who are keen to preserve the linos, or do away with the dust. An agent will be appointed for Wanganui in a few days.
