“USURPATION OF POWER”
CHARGE AGAINST CANADIAN PRIME MINISTER. OTTAWA, Nov. 5. Describing the announcement by the Prime Minister, Mr Mackenzie King, that he will continue in office as “usurpation of power and contempt of the popular will,” Mr Meighan, late on Thursday night, issued a statement in which he says that there never has been a case in Canada and none for a third of a century in Britain where the leader of the minority group has refused to resign “immediately the will of the people was known.”
