ANNUAL REPORT. A SUCCESSFUL YEAR. [Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, Nov. 5. The annual report of the National ; Insurance Company shown that the net . income for the year ended September . 30 amounts to £243,008 Is 3d. After making full provision for losses outstanding, and adding £6.289 to the reinsurance reserve, there is an underw..ung surplus of £30,630 7s sd. Interest and rents, less income tax, amounted to £30,891 17s lOd, while the balance brought forward from last vear amounted to £28,310 ,3s and, in al! £89,832 8s Bd. Out of this an interim dividend was paid in May 1925, which absorbed £12,500. The directors have added £2OOO to the reserve fund, and placed £5OOO to a contingency and taxation account. They now recommend the payment of a further dividend of 2s per share, making the total distribution for the year 3s 3d per share, and to carry forward £32,332 8s Bd.
