FIGHTING SMALLPOX
SIGNIFICANT SUCCESS. LONDON, Oct. 10. Dr AI. H. Gordon, consulting bacteriologist to St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, who has been continuously engaged since 1898 in research in connection with problems of infection and immunity, has succeeded in inoculating a rabbit against smallpox by painting vaccine inside its nose. The experiment suggests the possibility of the similar inoculation of human beings.
