THE ALLIANCE STAFF

(To the Editor). Sir, At a meeting in His Majesty’3 theatre on Sunday night I urged electors to vote on the prohibition issue apart from any political ‘attitude or any feelings they might have as to the action of other prohibitionists on any other question. I find that some are interpreting this as a reflection on members of the staff of the Alliance, working at the local office. May I slay that nothing was further from my intention? It was a general statement, and I wish again to urge that all electors can and should express their opinion on prohibition on its own merits and not be influenced by side issues. lam sure that all who are cognisant with the facts hiave nothing but admiration for the magnificent work done by our official staff during the campaign.—l am, etc., JOHN PATERSON, Wanganui, November 2, 1925.
