SIR JOSEPH WARD
LARGE MEETING AT INVERCARGILL. INVERCARGILL, Nov. 9. The Liberal candidate for Invcrcaf gill, Sir Joseph Ward, held a ]arg( and enthusiastic meeting in t thc Municipal Theatre this evening, when ther€ were over 2000 people present. Enthusiasm prevailed throughout and a vote of thanks and confidence was carried In the course of a spirited address. Sir Joseph referred at length to a pamphlet issued to-day in reference tf sectarian matters, and deprecated th/ action of its authors in attempting tt injure him in the eyes of the elcctoi at the eleventh hour.
