OTTAWA, Nov. 1. 1 The ‘-Montreal Gazette” prints a g that there will be a session of the* Federal House of Commons within three months, according to a message from the Hon. Earnest Lapointe. Minister of Justice, adding that the Prime Minister, Mr Mackenzie King, an ! the Liberal Government would not resign office. The standing of the political parties to-night is:— Liberals 100 Conservatives 1U» Progressives 23 Labour 2 Independent 1 Doubtful 3 ! The Liberals can only retain office ! with the support of the Progressives, Labour and the Independent. 1 Cabinet will meet in Ottawa on MonMay, after which there may be an announcement by the Prime Minister.
