Hatcher, inspector of seamen at the Mercantile Marine Office, states that there never has been, since its formation, any secret about the Victorian branch of the British Fascist!. He said the movement was not aimed against constitutional authority, but in favour of peace and quietness, and for God and country. The movejaent was non-political. non-sectarian, a*d was directed against nobody but extreme Communists and 4‘Red-rag-gers.”
Mr S. M. Bruce, Federal Prime Minister, in a statement said he knows of no Fascist! in Australia. The Government entirely dissociated itself from any private or independent movement to maintain law and order in the com-munity.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
